Katie has over 20 years of experience training clients for national level hunter and jumper competition. Her individualized approach allows every rider to meet their goals, whether that be to qualify for Maclay Finals or simply have fun at the local level. Katie has an incredible program and is methodical in her training approach with a strong emphasis on the basics. Katie’s ability to find the perfect match for each horse and rider allows the student to be comfortable and confident.
Savannah is a young professional who has been with Katie Kappler since April 2016. During her junior years, she was a consistent winner while successfully catch riding a variety of mounts including ponies, junior hunters, equitation horses, and jumpers. Her experience ranges from winning the over fences component at Pony Finals in the Large Green division to Individual Silver Medalist at the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) National Junior Jumper Championships in 2011. After turning professional, Savannah went on to work for Katie’s brother, Chris Kappler, from December 2012-April 2016. The experiences she had with Chris were invaluable and allowed her to advance her horsemanship and riding skills while learning from the best in the sport. Savannah was also able to receive education from legendary horseman, George H. Morris as she rode and competed a horse owned by him as well as attend the Gladstone Program in 2014. Savannah has become an integral part of Katie Kappler LLC both as a rider and assistant trainer.
